Alaskans need to start hearing about Bill’s background, priorities, viability, and that he is the only candidate that can beat Nick Begich. 

Background: 

• Most important: Bill Hill is an Alaska Native, school teacher and commercial fisherman from Bristol Bay. 
• Secondary: He’s born and raised in rural Alaska, and grew up off the grid, hunting, fishing, and racing sled dogs. 
• Key images: hunting, fishing, working, rural Alaska, Alaska Native heritage. 

Viability: 

Bill is the only candidate that earned the endorsements of Alaska’s labor unions and has raised more money than any other challenger. Polling shows that Bill is the only candidate who can beat Nick Begich. That’s because as an Alaska Native, teacher, union member, and commercial fisherman from rural Alaska, Bill represents the coalition we need to flip this seat.  

Priorities: 

Bill Hill ran for office because billionaires and corporations are making record profits while Alaska’s schools are crippled by inflation and costs for Alaska’s working families go through the roof. Bill’s core priorities are: 

• Stop corruption, ban stock trading by members of Congress
• Make billionaires and corporations pay their fair share
  • So we can fund our schools 
• And bring down costs for Alaska’s working families 

Short version: a teacher who’s running to make billionaires and corporations pay their fair share, so we can actually fund our schools.

By June 8, Alaska leaders and pundits need to see an announcement that:

• There is a coalition ready to put serious resources behind the effort to elect Bill to Congress.

• Bill Hill is the most viable candidate to beat Nick Begich in November.

Starting ASAP: 

Likely primary voters who are progressive and independent should start seeing messages on digital that introduce Bill’s bio and why he’s running, and show he’s the only candidate who can beat Nick Begich. This should include nonskippable CTV and Youtube ads reaching likely center/left primary voters in particular, but also reaching the general electorate 

These voters should also start seeing weekly text messages linking to videos of Bill and why he’s running, media coverage about his candidacy, and polling, endorsements, or other data points that demonstrate that Bill is the only viable candidate that can beat Begich. 

Starting ASAP: 

Likely primary voters who are progressive and independent should start seeing mail that introduces Bill’s bio and why he’s running, and show he’s the only candidate who can beat Nick Begich. 

In addition to the core messaging described above, progressive voters, particularly women, should also see messages affirming Bill’s position on abortion, confirming his endorsements from key local organizations, and making it clear that he is Alaska Native.
