National Education Association endorses Bill Hill

NEA issues sole endorsement of Bill Hill for Alaska’s seat in Congress

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – February 13, 2026

The National Education Association (NEA) has issued a sole endorsement of Bill Hill in the race for Alaska’s US House seat. NEA represents more than 3 million educators across the country, including more than 10,000 Alaskans.

“As a longtime educator and the son of two teachers, I know the foundational role that education plays in our state and our country,” said Bill Hill. “I’m grateful to NEA for the support as we work to win this seat for students, families, and educators across Alaska.”

Bill is a longtime teacher, principal, and superintendent who has worked in communities from Naknek to Juneau.

“As Alaska faces a statewide education crisis, one thing is clear: If big corporations and billionaires paid their fair share like the rest of us, we could invest in our schools,” said Bill.

The endorsement comes on the heels of another key endorsement from Alaska’s statewide firefighters union, the Alaska Professional Firefighters Association.

“Teachers and firefighters are getting behind Bill because he gets it: We have one vote in Congress, and right now Nick Begich is using that vote to make life harder for working people,” said Campaign Manager Kevin Groh. “Bill has what it takes to beat Begich and give everyday Alaskans a voice in DC.”
