FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – October 23, 2026
Today, Cook Political Report shifted Alaska’s at-large congressional race from Likely R to Lean R, indicating the shifting momentum toward Independent Bill Hill as he runs to unseat Incumbent Nick Begich.
Two new polls show Alaska’s US House race is up for grabs. Bill Hill is statistically tied in the two most recent public polls of the race: a Data for Progress poll and a new Public Policy Polling survey. Bill has gained on Begich in every public poll in the past six weeks, showing a rapid momentum shift.
“Race raters are seeing what we’re seeing: The momentum of this race is shifting toward Bill Hill, and it’s shifting fast. In 11 days, Alaskans are going to elect Bill as our next Representative,” said Campaign Manager Kevin Groh.
