Strong report signals Bill is the candidate who can beat Nick Begich
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – April 2, 2026
Since launching his campaign for Congress, Bill Hill has raised over $780,000 from more than 4,500 individual donors. Alaskans from more than 60 different communities have contributed to the campaign, from Akiak to Anchorage to Haines to Homer to Kodiak to Kotzebue to Eagle River to Ester to Palmer to Port Alsworth.
Bill launched his campaign just over two months ago. Only one other non-incumbent candidate for US House in Alaska has ever raised more money in their first quarter. The strong total raise will appear on the first quarterly FEC report of the year, due by April 15.
“Before getting in this race, I worked alongside Alaskans out on fishing boats, on construction sites, and in classrooms,” said Bill Hill. “I’ve seen firsthand: Alaskans win when we work hard and work together. I’m grateful to everyone who has chipped in. This support shows that Alaska is ready for a representative who puts working people over special interests.”
The strong fundraising report comes on the heels of a series of endorsements showing that working Alaskans are behind Bill.
Bill is the only labor-endorsed candidate in the race for Alaska’s US House seat. He has received endorsements from the National Education Association, Alaska Professional Firefighters Association, and the Pacific Northwest Iron Workers.
Bill is also endorsed by Defend the Vote, and has committed to not taking any corporate PAC money in the race.
