New poll shows Bill Hill can beat Nick Begich

Bill is in a statistical tie with Begich on an initial ballot, and leads by 5% on an informed ballot

Bill Hill poses a unique threat to incumbent Nick Begich in the race for Alaska’s US House seat, according to a new poll. In newly released Public Policy Polling results, after hearing basic background information on Bill Hill and Nick Begich, voters back Bill Hill for Congress in a head to head race by five points.

Before receiving any information about the candidates, Bill Hill is within the 4% margin of error of Begich in a head to head race, with Begich at 41%, Hill at 37%, and 22% undecided. Matt Schultz trails Begich by 7 points in a head to head race, with Begich at 46%, Schultz at 39%, and 15% undecided.

“When Alaska voters hear about their choices for Congress, they’re choosing to back Bill,” said Campaign Manager Kevin Groh. “These results show Bill is the candidate who can win this seat and deliver for working Alaskans.”

The poll was conducted by Public Policy Polling between Feb 11-12, and surveyed 600 likely 2026 voters in Alaska.
