The Alaska Center issues sole endorsement of Bill Hill

Bill is the only challenger to Nick Begich with endorsements from Alaska-based organizations

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – June 9, 2026

Lifelong commercial fisherman Bill Hill received the sole endorsement of The Alaska Center, an organization that fights for clean air and water and a bright future for Alaska’s people and resources.

“I grew up in a village of 100 people, living off of Alaska’s incredible land and resources,” said Bill Hill. “Fighting for a future for everyday Alaskans means fighting to make sure our kids and grandkids have the same access to our state’s natural resources as I did growing up.”

“Bill Hill has spent much of his life hunting and fishing in rural Alaska. He knows what’s at stake when it comes to Alaska’s land, air, and waters,” said The Alaska Center’s Co-Executive Director Chantal de Alcuaz. “Bill won our endorsement for Congress through a demonstrated commitment to stand up for Alaskans and protect our access to our natural resources.”

The sole endorsement from The Alaska Center comes on the heels of endorsements from the National Education Association, Alaska Professional Firefighters Association, Pacific Northwest Iron Workers, the United Brotherhood of Carpenters, and the Plumbers and Steamfitters Local 367. Bill is the only candidate challenging Nick Begich who has been endorsed by organized labor unions, and the only challenger endorsed by local Alaska organizations.
